The cups are padded and fit snug to prevent any damage to the all-important end parts of the pole, while at the same time holding the pole in place when its packed away in storage and transport. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen in place on a pole, the Pole Safe fits into a standard tube or the X-Case and helps prevent the pole rattling around when in transport.
